Why Red Kite?
What sets Red Kite apart?
The strength of our offer is in the partnerships we’ve made, which allow us to deliver the highest possible quality of training across the region. Supporting our trainees during their time with us is one of our biggest priorities, and by collaborating with our partners we’ve made sure this can be provided wherever you train.
We start by making sure that our programme is tailored to your individual needs; we recognise that all of our trainees are different and we make sure that our course is flexible to suit you. You won’t be put in front of a class until you’re ready and we’ll always make sure that there’s a qualified teacher in the classroom to support you.
You’ll also have the support of our experienced, dedicated Trainee Progress Leaders, who are with you every step of the way to make sure you get the support you need.
What does a Trainee Progress Leader do?
Our Trainee Progress Leaders (TPLs) are some of the most important people you’ll meet on your journey to becoming a teacher. Their role is to support you at every stage of the programme, which can include:
- Helping you get your first teaching job
- Preparing you for interviews and writing your reference
- Working with your placement schools to tailor your training for your individual needs
- Being there to reassure you when you need it most
- Being your biggest supporter
In addition to this, a member of the Leadership Team has the specific remit of wellbeing for all trainees. We recognise that training to teach can be a daunting process, so we make it our priority that each of our trainees is looked after throughout their time with us.
“Red Kite was the only provider I wanted to train to teach with as I had heard such amazing things, and they have definitely exceeded expectations.
The support throughout the whole process is second to none and there is always someone to talk to, which is so needed as a trainee.
Ahead of interviews, I felt totally prepared by my progress leader Katherine and I was able to showcase my skills and thankfully secured my first teaching job for September! I’m so grateful that I was able to train with Red Kite.”
